I have no clue how to even activate this-clicked to download the 5.8 -but are there directions on how to use?????

What OS are you using? You may be better off starting with Version 6. Let us know, and we'll get you started from there.

Version 5 has an old fashioned help file. Version 6 has a PDF manual. Both are serviceable.
