No Floppy or CD Drive .::. Boot from C:?

Hi,

I have a very old computer that doesn't support booting from CD (although it has a working CD drive). The floppy drive is broken. It has USB ports but doesn't support booting from them.

I want to use DBAN on the harddisk before taking it to the disposal/recycling center.

I can boot to DOS and copy files to the C drive. I want to erase the C drive anyway. Is there a (hopefully simple) way of getting DBAN to boot and run from the C drive?

I hope you can help,

Jaime

Copy the kernel.bzi file and the initrd.gz file to the C: drive from the CD-ROM drive and start DBAN with loadlin at a DOS prompt. There is a link to loadlin in the FAQ.
