Reboots after "Uncompressing Linux..Ok..."

I have an older Compaq Contura 4/25C laptop (no CD Drive) that I am trying to DBAN that reboots when it gets to the point where it says "Uncompressing Linux..Ok, booting the kernel. Please wait.. "

I have seen other posts that suggest that it is a bad floppy, but I don't think it is a bad floppy since I have tried six different ones. I don't have a CD drive in this laptop so I can't try it from CD. I was able to FDisk and Format the hard drive but I can't get it to DBAN.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Do you know if the floppy drive itself is any good? Another possibility is that the floppy image you have is corrupt and should be downloaded again.

The floppy drive itself is working as I used it to FDisk and format the drive. I can download the image again and try that.
