Recovery disc

hello i was wondering if i use this software to completely erase my HD can i still be able to use my recovery disc? or do i have to get the XP version and reinstall everything...
 
Check that your recovery media is bootable before running DBAN. If it starts, then push the reset button before it finishes loading.

Remember to set the BIOS to start the CD-ROM drive and floppy drive before the hard drive.
 
you mean check in Window? to see if it running? or in Dos cause i know in dos it work....but i dont know if it will work after i done the wipe since i thought it would completely wipe eveerything including dos....
