OK...I'm a complete moron when it comes to this terminology! I THINK I successfully burned a CD with the DBAN program. But now I get the error rundll32.exe missing to run DBAN.
Is it possibly b/c I ran eraser earlier today and it was erased?!?!?!

All I want to do is erase all my files on my hard drive b/c we're donating the computer.

Please help!

You shouldn't be running DBAN in Windows, it's meant to be run at system boot.

well, I think I did it. how do i know if my hard drive is erased?

I rebooted my computer and all that comes up on a black screen is:
"Invalid system disk. Replace the disk, and then press any key"

Was it successful?

Yes. See my post in the separate thread you started.
