StartIndex cannot be less than zero and Access Denied

I am trying to run this against my secondary IDE Drive. I want to run it on the whole drive. (This erase is on Windows 7 64-bit)

If I run the 6.0.6.1376 I get this message:

Error StartIndex cannot be less than zero.

Error Access is denied. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070005 (E_ACCESSDENIED))

If I try to run it as administrator then I get the following break:

Follow up -

I came across this from Joel -If the program crashes on startup, delete %LOCALAPPDATA%\Eraser 6\Task List.ersx.
So I did do that and now I was able to run it.

Also he mentioned somewhere 0You'll need to exclude the "System Volume Information" folder as that stores Windows' System Restore points. Alternatively, you can format the drive and run an unused space erasure. Short of DBAN as of now that's about as good as it gets.

So I reformatted the drive and started over and it is still working(Erasing).

But that error is for a different problem. Your problem is new here. Would you want to try a debug build that automatically records crash information for me to debug so it can be fixed? If so, PM me with your email, citing this thread. Thanks!

Oh, alternatively, since there are so few instances of string.Substring (Which I believe is causing this) in Eraser, you could tell me how far the erase went. Also, were you doing an unused space erasure and was your IDE drive using FAT/FAT32?
