Where can I find the manual to get started

As a first time very inexperienced user, I downloaded the version 6.0.8 and it installed after I shut down the internet explorer download program as requested. However, I cannot find the program on my computer, it did not open a set up window to start erasing files and I cannot find where to download the user manual to try and resolve the problem. Sorry to ask such a basic question, but I am a very basic user. Thanks!
 
Eraser is probably running in the background, you can summon the UI up by going to the system notification area and double-clicking on the Eraser icon. After which, you can click on Help to see the documentation.
