Why doesn't any of this seem to work?

I have read almost every relevant post to no avail.

OK, Win ME. Computer reboots during eraser running. 10gig HD with 11MB free now. NONE of the FAQ's to fix it work. I cannot find either of the ~ERA... files on the PC. When I explore c: I don't even see any file that big. Yes, I can see all hidden files. I am at a loss. Desperate attempt to uninstall and reinstall useless because of the lack of diskspace, it can't create a place to send the .tmp files (hell, I can't find the last ones)

Please, who knows where to go from here?

Try this:
Untick cluster tips in Eraser preferences and select a one pass option and run Eraser again. This should return our full freespace allocation.
