Will DBAN delete NTFS?

I bought a PC a few years ago with Win ME. I decided to convert it to NTFS when I installed XP Pro a while back. I am getting a new PC and I want to use the restore disks that came with this one to reinstall Win ME, along with the original software. I understand that it's not easy to go from NTFS to FAT 32. Will DBAN help me with this? :?:
 
DBAN will remove the file system (NTFS, FAT32, etc) as well as any data from the partition or disk that you wipe. When DBAN is finished the disk is basically like it came from the factory.
