Wipe a network device

I have a WD Network Attached Storage with some files I want to wipe.

Will Eraser really wipe these files, even if I run it from a Windows PC?
I mean, will it work with an ethernet-connected hard drive?

Not really as your network storage does not work in the same way as a normal drive.
 
I'm not sure if you can take it apart but you could remove the drives and attach them to a PC and wipe from there.
